- Sorry...What I wanted to say for a very long time now (And I probably knew
- why shutting up...Uh...come and get me little flame):
-
- Why do all those great programmers in here care that much about their WB
- Style ? Using the WB for more than starting one or another program seems
- useless to me, since the possibilities are just too little. I personally
- use a free version of DirOpus for most filemanagement (will convert to
- MaxonTools soon...DOpus sucks big times in the new versions). I start most
- of my programs via Toolmanager (Rather than having to open 7 WB Wins for
- starting Octamed :). I use my WB (respectivily its file managing
- capabilities) less than an hour of ten. WB ist soooo slow in the current
- implementation. I've heard many people here whining about WB Speed while
- listening to the OS4.0 Wishlist threats, so it seems as it is a common
- problem and not mine only.
-
- What I wanted to say: When nobody REALLY uses WB...Why all this MWB and NI
- stuff ? What we need is a fast and clever filemanager implementation in the
- Workbench. If we got that, lets talk about fancy icons.
-
- BTW: If the future WB will be valuable faster than the actual one, a thing
- like Newicons would be absolutely nice (when implemented internally).
-
- so long,
